Since 2016, the Southwestern Vermont Hoarding Task Force at BROC Community Action in Rutland County continues to educate professionals and the public about how to help people who suffer from excessive clutter and hoarding in their home. The task force and hoarding program provides trainings about useful ways to de-clutter and to provide in-home supports to keep your home or a loved one’s home safe and healthy and to ultimately improve quality of life.
The Task Force meets the 4th Wednesday of each month (unless told otherwise) at 10:00am-11:00am at BROC Community Action, 45 Union Street, Rutland, Vermont 05701. Please RSVP to the meeting by e-mail to support accommodations.

The Rutland Healthy Community Team is scheduled to meet with their local Continuum of Care in October. The team will discuss the Healthy Communities VT Forum and wil ask the Continuum to support this work, and assist in the development of a permanent subcommittee. The expectations of the local team will include quarterly updates to the COC, to process and report out on its work. The team is looking forward to establishing a more collaborative effort in addressing the ongoing challenges that hoarding and bed bugs present to our community.
